Walter Brooke

Walter Brooke (October 23, 1913 – August 20, 1986) was an American actor. Brooke is best known for playing Mr. McGuire in the 1967 hit film ''The Graduate'',〔(NPR : The Graduate, Present at the Creation )〕 where his character famously said "Plastics".
He is also remembered for playing district attorney Frank Scanlon in the television series ''The Green Hornet''.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Classic TV Shows – Green Hornet, Van Williams, Bruce Lee )〕 Brooke also played several Naval officers a few times in the series ''McHale's Navy'' and an unnamed District Attorney in two episodes of ''Perry Mason'': "The Case of the Floating Stones" in 1963, and "The Case of the Wrathful Wraith" in 1965. Brooke appeared on stage in the 1957 production of ''Hide and Seek'' at the Shubert Theatre in Washington, D.C.
Walter Brooke died from emphysema on August 20, 1986, aged 72.〔''The New York Times'' obituary (August 24, 1986)〕
